Security of supply

Industrialised countries such as Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom need a reliable, affordable supply of electricity around the clock. Regardless of whether the sun is shining or the wind is blowing. You can find out more about how this is possible and the important role played by conventional power stations here.

Industrial locations largely need an independent supply of electricity which is not dependent on the weather. Ensuring this is not so easy, because electrification is becoming an increasingly important aspect of day-to-day life. We are heading towards a digital society, which needs more and more electricity, for example for businesses, for heating and for transportation. Conventional power stations are still needed to provide this electricity, especially since storage technologies of industrial proportions are not yet available.
